Yoga at Work

Professional workplace wellbeing with 20 years’ experience

With over two decades of yoga teaching experience, I deliver tailored yoga sessions for professional teams – structured, calm, and effective classes that reduce stress, improve posture and back health, and bring colleagues together.

Why Yoga at Work?

For people who spend long hours at a desks with high cognitive demand, having 45min dedicated to a weekly yoga class can transform their week. My workplace yoga programmes address these challenges directly through:

  • Posture and back health: practical movement and mobility work to relieve desk-related tension. Core strenght and flexibility.
  • Stress management/relaxation: breathing and mindfulness techniques proven to calm the nervous system and restore focus.
  • Energy and stamina: strength-building poses that counteract fatigue and improve overall vitality.
  • Connection and enjoyable movement: shared sessions that help teams reset together. Often the yoga day becomes the day all the staff come in to the office

Tailored to your organisation

Each programme is customised to your company’s culture, schedule, and space , whether that’s a live online session for remote teams, a regular in-office class, or a one-off wellbeing event. Classes are fully guided, accessible to all levels, and designed to fit smoothly into the working day.

Trusted by leading organisations

I’ve had the pleasure of bringing yoga and wellbeing to teams at: The Gurdon Institute, Mott MacDonald, Cognidox, Xinlinx (AMD, Cambridge Science Park), St Mary’s School, Queens’ College, and Cambridge University Botanic Garden, among others.

Bringing yoga to your office/ what you need:

  • Flexible Timing & Format: Whether you prefer an energizing morning flow, a midday recharge, or a relaxing end-of-day session, we tailor the schedule to fit seamlessly into your workday. Both in-office and virtual options are available, supporting flexible teams. Most offices book 45min weekly class (perfect to fit in before work or over the lunch-break)
  • What you need: a clear space big enought for your group and yoga mats (I bring all other props). Meeting rooms usually work well.
  • Pricing: typical Yoga at Work sessions cost between £75-95 depending on location and class size.

Yoga testimonials

Andres Arcia_Moret, MTS Applications Engineer (AMD), practicing yoga with Karin since 2020:

I’ve been attending office yoga session for over 2 years now; Karin is an outstanding teacher, always patiently and gradually making us improve our postures. After few sessions, I felt I was on my way to obtain the benefits and rewards of yoga.

Yoga at Work online

Since 2019 I have also been giving my Yoga at Work programmes online via Zoom. These continue to be popular as many organisations operate with a mix people in the workplace and working from home. As well as offering all the benefits of the yoga itself these online yoga sessions are popular for providing an opportunity to connect with colleagues and co-workers outside of day to day online meetings

Karin’s Yoga

My yoga is a free flowing style which pays special attention to breath and alignment to help soften and heal the body.

I also practice a gentler form that is particularly suitable for older people, and people with restricted movement or other health problems.

I currently offer four types of class:

Gentle Yoga

This is suitable for people who want a relaxing yoga session or those with back problems. It is also ideal for post-natal and beginners who want to start softly.

Vinyasa Flow

This is for everybody who wants a more dynamic yoga class. It is suitable for beginners and more advanced students.

Dynamic Yoga

These energetic sessions are based on the principles of Ashtanga yoga and tend to be more suitable for intermediate or advanced yoga practioners.

Pregnancy Yoga

I have been teaching a popular Pregnancy class in Cambridge since 2010. The classes help women feel more comfortable and stronger during the pregnancy and they create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.

My special pregnacy yoga classes are based on the principles of Birthlight, a charitable trust dedicated to helping women to “birth lightly”. Using yoga asanas (poses), breathing and philosophy the Birthlight form helps expecting mothers to relate more deeply with themselves and their babies as they go through the changes and challenges of pregnancy.

Yoga Classes

In person I give classes in and around Cambridge, UK. I also offer classes online. Many of these are for people who also attend my in-person classes, or for people in the area who are cannot attend in person for whatever reason, but I also give a number of online classes for people based elsewhere in the world.

Drop-In Classes

I give a number of regular Cambridge based drop-in classes throughout the year. Everyone is welcome, whatever your age or physical ability and whether you’re an absolute beginner or an advanced yogi. Come to a drop-in class and see how good yoga can make you feel.

Please see the timetable for details of current classes.

Yoga Workshops and Retreats

From time to time I offer one day workshops and yoga retreat weekends. These offer an opportunity to deepen your yoga practice in a calm and conducive environment.

These events are often combined with nature trail walks guided by Cambridge ecologist, Kevin Hand.

News of upcoming events will appear at the top of this page and full details of current and previous events can be found here.

Private Classes

I teach a number of private classes to individuals and small groups in and around Cambridge. Like my Yoga at Work programme these can be arranged either as in-person sessions, online or both.

If you are interested in private tuition or organising a small group session please contact me for more details.

Yoga at Work

I’ve developed a successful programme of Yoga at Work which is especially effective within an overall Wellness programme for staff. Like my private classes these are tailored specifically for your group and can be arranged by contacting me directly.
